Visual arts cultural interaction and exchange.

International artists from Hungary, Rumania, Austria, Spain Italy, England and Wales will make work in the Neaudd Goffa Harlech and in the landscape around Harlech, applying their own cultural backgrounds and artistic practices to the theme of INTERNATIONAL CROSSCURRENTS.

Performance work will be shown over the Internet in REAL-TIME for projection in art galeries. CCAM Naples, Italy NEXO Toledo, Spain, Galichnik Art Colony from Skopje Macedonia and AirSpace Gallery, Stoke on Trent.

Harlech Biennale IX - 'International Crosscurrents' 2009

20 artists are involved in exhibiting work made in a twelve day period at Neaudd Goffa Harlech and at Merthyr Farm, Harlech, Wales.

Artists will work to a brief submitted as part of the selection process.

The landscape around the mountain of Moel Senig offers a variety of natural working locations, from intimate spaces to massive natural amphitheatres. The artists' task is to respond to the theme of International crosscurrents in available space, time and material resources.

Bydd artistiaid rhyngwladol o Hwngari, Rwmania, Awstria, Sbaen, yr Eidal, Bwlgaria, Cymru a Lloegr yn gweithio ar y dirwedd uwchben Harlech, gan dynnu ar eu harferion artistig a'u cefndir diwylliannol eu hunain wrth weithio ar y thema PONTIO RHYNGWLADOL.

Bydd y gwaith yn cael ei ddangos dros y Rhyngrwyd ar AMSER REAL mewn orielau celf. CCAM Naples, yr Eidal NEXO Toledo, Sbaen, Galichnik Art Colony o Skopje Macedonia ac AirSpace Gallery, Stoke on Trent.

Mae 20 o artistiaid yn arddangos gwaith a wneir mewn cyfnod o ddeuddeg diwrnod yn Neaudd Goffa Harlech yn Fferm Merthyr, Harlech, Cymru.

Bydd artistiaid yn gweithio i friff a gyflwynir fel rhan o'r broses ddethol.

Mae'r dirwedd o gwmpas Moel Senig yn cynnig amryw o leoliadau gwaith naturiol, o lecynnau preifat i amffitheatrau naturiol eang. Tasg yr artist yw ymateb i'r thema  Pontio Rhyngwladol o fewn y lle, amser a'r adnoddau sydd ar gael.
